A dream awaits its destiny

What would a Sai devotee have inferred if he or she had a dream in 2010 about Bhagawan leaving His body? Well, I do not know about others, but I certainly would have thought of it as an event to happen twelve years later. But one man who had such a dream, did not think like most others would have. He felt that such an event was drawing near, much earlier than anybody would expect. Not willing to stop there, he went on to believe that Swami would eventually come back, shaking the whole humanity to its core. Evidently, he had his own reasons to believe so!

Neelen Patten is a Sai devotee from Mauritius. On 27th January 2010, Neelen woke up from a strange dream. In the dream he saw Baba leaving His body. As soon as he woke up, very early in the morning, he wrote an email to a few friends about the dream (edited to remove lines not relevant to the topic):

27th January 2010

Sai Ram to all of you!

I just woke up from a very strange dream....And I am telling it now itself, because I know I need to make an effort to remember it!

Did I dream that Baba had died...Or that He had died from something....I even saw Him in his death bed from above.....I could see the scene very clearly!!

After this, people around were even more skeptical about Baba, and my brother told us that we should not expect anything from Him if He just died like this, suddenly without giving any notice.....I replied that he would come back and this is what would wake all humanity from their delusions...When He comes back, I said, it will be such a shock for the whole of humanity. "The whole of humanity will have to believe in Him" is what I told him then.....This is how the whole of humanity will believe in Him....This is what I told (my brother) at the end of this dream!

I know. This is a very strange dream indeed....I know we never dream of Swami without a good reason! Let us see then!

And then on Thursday, April 21, 2011, 6:45 PM, three days before Bhagawan left His body, Neelen wrote to his Sister:

Hello ___,

Yes, you remember well....I did have a very strange dream where I saw Swami passing away....It really shocked me when I woke up from this....

To tell you honestly, I have the feeling that Baba is doing something right now, away from His body......Did you notice that it happened at the same time when so many disasters are occurring around the world...It started at the same time with the nuclear disaster in Japan! I think the Avatar is at work right now....We must realize that He is not at all limited to the body that is lying in Puttaparthi right now....For me, it must be a test for all of us....What would we do in the eventuality that Baba could pass away? How would we react? According to a prediction of Prophet Mohammed, the last ten years of the Avatar would be most special because there will be so much more people who would start believing in His Avatarhood...We are entering the last ten years now!!!

Let's be patient and wait for the events to take place as He wills!!

When Swami was still in His physical, most of the Sai devotees did sing paeans with uninhibited enthusiasm of Swami’s forthcoming leelas that would mesmerize the world and convert it into one big Prasanthi Nilayam. At this time when many of those devotees are finding it hard to hold on to such glorious prescient proclamations of the Lord, Neelen’s testimony and unrelenting faith pelt down like rain on a parched land.

The first part of Neelen’s precognitive dream has already become a reality. As Neelen and his friends wait patiently for the second part - Bhagawan’s thunderous return - to unfold, I sincerely wish all Sai devotees could join hands with them in preparation to welcome the Lord.

From 24.4.2011, we are of those who have refused to believe that Bhagawan's earthly avatar had foreclosed; we have believed , believe and will continue to believe that He will return in the same form to complete His Avataar till calendar 96 years of age( pl mind you not the lunar age 96 theory propounded by a learned retired professor !) OM SAI RAM
2 months before Swami "left" on April 2011 HE Gracefully came to me in a dream and said "I'LL BE BACK!" walking away and then I cannot remember If it was the same dream or another one HE got into HIS Red Mercedes front passenger seat - made some gestures to me and waved good bye
This year in April my daughter who was 11 years old had a dream of SWAMI entering a stage from behind a curtain with a mike in HIS Hand and eventually LIGHT AND LOVE explodes from HIM and ALL ARE IN PEACE OR SATHYAM (the stage curtain mike I interpret as Curtain being Maya, the Stage the world and the mike - Grand Entrance to get every ones attention - A THUNDEROUS ENTRANCE FOR ALL TAKE NOTICE

This is a very inspiring post. Neelen's dream and the context in which he immediately placed the dream -- that it would be one gigantic leela of Swami's to leave His Body and then return MUCH later, for the uplift of ALL of humanity -- is very encouraging for those of us who are certain He will return. Thank you for posting this! It helps me remember to have fortitude in this energetically difficult period.

I’m reminded of a question that I struggle with, as one blessed with knowing that Swami will return. Swami has put some of us in this unprecedented position of being aware of His Resurrection before it happens. And yet to mention one's conviction about this to most Sai devotees (and to other seekers) usually closes down a conversation pretty quickly. My experience in the few attempts I have made has been that most are not open to the idea at all. And yet I wish to share the incredible joy that this knowledge has given me, energizing my sadhana and restoring a fullness to my relationship with Swami.

Seeing as Swami has let some of us know about His Return, and as that Return comes closer, do others on this blog and website feel an obligation to try to tell others about it? Or do you feel we should keep the conviction to ourselves?

Here are some of my thoughts on why to NOT share it, and why to share it.

Reasons NOT to share:
1. It meets with an angry resistance in some Sai devotees, as if it threatens to open a door that they have painstakingly (if unconsciously) closed and continue to hold shut. Broaching the topic seems to hurt some of them.
2. The desire to share may be motivated in part by wishing to be “right” when Swami does return and to have my perception of Who Swami is be vindicated then. (Although this is obviously NOT a good reason, such a motivation can co-exist with other virtuous reasons to share this awareness. I lay the selfish motive at His Lotus Feet whenever I catch a glimmer of it in myself.)

Reasons to share:
1. To share the joy, rejuvenation, intensified Sai-love, and the sublime Wonder that I feel.
2. Give to others the much bigger perspective of what sort of moment we find ourselves experiencing right now in humanity’s evolution: we are finally on the cusp of a tangible, colossal, vibrational upwards shift that has been in the making for one hundred years. And this will not be a Golden Age that phases in slowly and subtly in the next few decades, but something that is explicitly part and parcel with Sathya Sai Baba's avatarhood.
3. Give others a framework in which to put current and upcoming global turmoil – that it’s part of His Plan and it’s in His superbly Competent and Compassionate Hands. And we are SO lucky to be alive to witness this most amazing of all Yuga Avatar leelas!
4. In gratitude to those who brought my attention to the convincing argument of Sai Thy Kingdom Come. I want to pass it forward.

I am interested to hear what others think about the question of whether we are called to try to spread this news or simply let Swami take care of it. One temporary solution I have arrived at is to tell everyone all about it on the subtle level: to focus on the person’s Sai Self within, send love to that Self and then silently tell them the good news of what it is to come.

Jaya Sathya Sai Narayana!

Its actually very simple to decide permanently. Do you believe its the truth or not. Yes or no. If you do believe there is no problem for you, the truth will always protect you as light always destroys darkness. If however you don't believe then you don't expect others to believe you either. So the choice is really yours and yours only to make depending on your belief. It has nothing to do with others. Baba's mission will go on with or without anyone, so its either you are on board or not, its either you are on Baba's aeroplane or not. You can't be on the ground and in the aeroplane at the same time. Your choice..... Sai Ram ....

As a general rule, I do not share that Swami is coming by. However one day my niece who is new to Swami, expressed disappointment in not being able to see the Avathar. I right away told her about Sri Yukteshwar, Paramahamsa Yogananda's Guru, who had resurrected.

Then I told her about "Sai, Thy Kingdom Come."

I guess it is to give hope, which is embodied in your comment #2 as reason to share.

Susan, you have expressed so well so many things I myself think and feel and the subject. Brilliant! Much better than I could do on my own. Please read my recent comment here: kingdomofsai.blogspot.com/.../...

Recently, I feel an urge to tell others about it - as if I NEED to "warn", "prepare", "announce" or "foresee" the event to the most people possible, before it happens.

I wonder if there is a lot of your reason NOT to share #2 on it. I question myself how much ego-motivated I am. So, in the other hand, I also keep pondering if I should keep the conviction to myself. So, your questioning is mine too! :-)

I feel enthusiastic when reading testimonials like yours - and I feel depressed when, in a place like a Sai Center - where everybody should be fervorously celebrating what is about to happen, even merely as a possibility and not a certain thing! - people simply DON'T WANT TO HEAR about it and despise the subject.

A conflict of beliefs. Well... I believe Swami MAY NOT RETURN... why don't they believe SWAMI MAY RETURN? So... my conclusion is their hearts and minds are a bit closed, not to say some seem to have built a high wall around them...

Anyway, reading your words made me feel special about "knowing about it before it happens" - I have never enjoyed this feeling about it before! :-)

Around one year before Swami "left", a devotee who had recently arrived from Prasanthi told me, at my own home, that some people there were mentioning Swami would "left" earlier than we believed... that it was about to happen. When the information arrived, jus like now, I have not rejected nor accepted as final truth. Time passed and indeed... I felt proud that Swami took care to personally inform an overseas devotee (I'm from Brazil) about what would happen.

In the Mayan-like 13 moon calendar I am "Red Dragon" - which is supposed to "attract information and receive divine support" (as said on its "affirmation").

The devotee who told me the news beforehand also used to mention "Loka Samastha" was "not very precise"... much before Swami announced we should chant "Samastha Loka" instead - thus proving the devotee's claim was meaningful.

This very same devotee was not appreciated by some Sai Organization members, because he didn't agree with everything stated by the Organization hierarchy. "Loka Samastha" is not correct? Heresy! I wonder why he came to my house to share Swami was leaving soon. Maybe because I was not CLOSED to hear him?

So, I would like to freely talk about "Sai, Thy Kingdom Come" in a Sai Center, but there is people who would never accept "Samastha Loka" instead of "Loka Samastha" before Swami said it, would never accept His anticipated departure before it happened, and now will not accept His glorious return before it happens. These people will only accept something if it arrives as an official communication from the Organization hierarchy. Hmmm, well... this may be good to the Organization - so I better not judge as a bad thing.

Thanks for the opportunity of sharing my thoughts and feelings. :-)

When I do speak of this to others, which is rarely, I do so in reference to STKC to objectively "make the case". None of knows for sure if, when or how. No matter how resistant a Sai devotee may be to this, he or she will not doubt that ANYTHING is possible with Sai Baba....ANYTHING!

With all that it entails, personally, I don't understand how someone could be a Sai Devotee and not at least be open to this possibility. Swami can create and sustain a universe, bring others back from the other side but not Himself???

During the conversation I always add, "If He doesn't return then nothing changes, but if He does, everything changes!"

I do selectively share my enthusiasm about the possible return of our Sathya Sai Avatar to those who are open to the idea, encourage them to read Sai,Thy Kingdom Come... Then simply hope that they will join me in actively participate with the increasing number of devotees who intensify sadhana/ spiritual effort to bring about His return ASAP, in other words, let's play our roles as prompted by Him, in this glorious divine drama! Swami’s return is imminent!
7 November 2013
(Oooh, I wish I had written down this dream immediately!)
In my dream I saw a huge cruiseship (I think it represented the world). It hit a rock and nearly floundered. But as it was freed, a man and his son discovered that the rock that pierced the hull was in fact a light-bluish translucent semi-precious stone of many hues. The whole world was at once elated but at the same time many were a bit depressed.
For all over the world the finding of this gemstone was predicted, and Americans (USA) had been expecting it would be found in their land, by an American. But the ship hit the rock near South America, and the stone was found by a simple janitor and his son, from a totally different, ‘not-important’ country (India?).
It was decided the ship would be repaired, and the gemstone would be hoisted aboard, to be fashioned into a huge lingam. The janitor was honoured above everyone else, and when asked what his reward would be (it suddenly was me in the role of the janitor), I replied that I wanted the largest piece of the stone remaining after the carving. Since the lingam was to be the most valuable object in the world, I reckoned a chunk of that stone would be worth more than anything I would be offered else.
They swallowed, but agreed, and the people watching from the quay cheered at my clever thought. I stood on the ship looking down, when suddenly I saw Baba walking briskly from the belly of the ship, onto the empty space between the ship and the crowd. He looked much younger, say 50 or thereabouts. I was flooded in joy, and suddenly understood. I went to the microphone and called out: ‘Behold the most precious gemstone of the world!!!’ in English (not my native tongue). I at once understood that not this lingam would be installed as the most precious thing in the world, but Baba himself. Very few people understood. Baba looked up at me. I woke up.

Pondering this dream, I fell asleep again and dreamed of walking along with Swami and getting instructions about many things. I woke up again, not remembering.

This telling sadly does not convey the powerful emotions of the dream, but it was very clear that the finding of the stone was big news world wide.

I am certain Swami’s return is imminent, and I look at every special day and not-special day. Foremost I look to His birthday, and to Christmas, for did Swami not disappear from sight at Easter, when Christ returned from the unseen? What better time for His return than the birth day of Christ?

Yes Swami will retun. Only an event of such magnitude can transform the world into Prasanthi Nilayam. He will return in His Sathya Sai form to lead us in the Golden Age. Let us pray 'Swami of my Heart I am connecting myself with your Divine Heart.
Swami .of my Heart I am transforming the world into Prasanthi Nilayam.'. Swami has taught us that our divine name is 'Iam'.' The name of God is also 'I am' . Swami used to say 'I am God , but you are also God'. To realize our divinity connect ourselves to our dear Swami.

Dear Susan, thank you for your thoughts and your questions. My feeling is that we are not necessarily called to spread the word. I have spoken about it to a few people. If they feel receptive, I go further and share dreams, blogs or interviews. If they are resistant, I let it be, thinking that perhaps it is not time yet for them to believe or explore the idea. Out of the twenty or so people that I might have mentioned it to, 2 or 3 are truly hooked on to the idea! I don't feel compelled to announce the idea or the news; certainly, Swami will take care of it when He thinks they are ready. At the same time, I am filled with a quiet joy, hope, anticipation and feel that our best sadhana and meditation is just the wait itself :).

Om Sai Ram A short answer to Sister Susan's query:
STKC in Chapter 5 (p28,29 of ebook and p55-59 of printed book) clearly answers the question--------- "Now you go round the world and spread My message. Tell all to be prepared. This is a great time and a great opportunity, something extraordinary in the history of mankind is about to happen. ........

Pl see Rev 14-6,7. & 2 TIMOTHYCh4, also

Let us read the parable of ten virgins in Mtthew 25 also,

Thank you for the reference. In that case, this is how I would see it: Yes, I will spread the message; however, I will not be disheartened, disturbed or judgmental if there is resistance to the idea. I will let the message go and rest wherever it is to rest - no expectations that people should jump with joy immediately at the message :).

Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba is a Poorna Avatar. Poorna Avatars do not die, They finally disappear. Lord Krishna and Lord Rama finally disappeared. Baba would walk into the Chitravathi River with a few devotees at His 96th year of advent.

To this day since 24.04.2011, I do not accept that Baba died. He is there, but for us not to see Him, for reasons known to Himself. To me, what is interred in Sai Kulwant hall is only a mannequin. By His grace I happened to be in Prashanthi Nilayam the last day Baba gave darshan in the evening. To this day, I never stepped into Sai Kulwant Hall though I visit Prashanthi Nilayam, the devotee I am by His grace for over 46 years in this birth.

For His 85th birthday, arches, pandals etc were erected clearly mentioning same as His 85th Birthday which is according to the solar calendar and not the lunar calendar. Baba was there then and no wrong declaration could have gone unchecked by Him. Baba will live upto His 96th year as declared by Him.

Do not accept the fact that people physically closer to Baba are infalliable. Baba only is infalliable. They are humans like us and have either short sight or long sight like a professor very close to Him suddenly changed colour like a chemelon to declare that Baba reached 96 years as per the lunar calendar and had left.

Baba will return very soon in the same old form as Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba to be with us all. Bold boards are hung on my house windows facing the public road reading ‘Baba will return shortly’. Similarly, on the rear glasses of my cars, I have clearly pasted in bold letters declaring ‘Baba returns shortly’. People may laugh at me today, but you will know the reaction of these fickle minded people when Baba returns very shortly. I WILL THEN HAVE THE LAST LAUGH. SAI RAM

Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba will soon return. Prema Sai is the next incarnation and do not mix it up with the present Avatar which is still very much on. SAI RAM.

I want to thank everyone who gave me thoughtful responses to my question on whether or not to share this wondrous knowledge with others. I received many beautiful ideas! Thanks very much.

It is so nice to enjoy the satsang of this group as Sentindo Bem mentioned. It is such a blessing to have the ability to share with like-minded souls on this most amazing topic especially since we are a minority.

I remember how Swami has said that although the Purna Avataras of Rama and Krishna will essentially be repeated in upcoming cycles of Yugas, this Sathya Sai Baba Purna Avatara is ENTIRELY UNIQUE and the likes of His Wonders and their effects on humanity will never, ever be repeated. And you and I stand hand in hand in this astounding period, waiting with bursting hearts, knowing that the best is yet to come! Thank you brother Sreejith Narayan and all those who participate silently or with posts on this website.

Sai Ram,
Baba used to come in my dream every 3 years. Two week ago, he came again. Astonishingly, the writer of this book was standing a few metres away from us while Swami was talking to me. Swami was younger and very beautiful. I was soooooo happy. Its clear that Swami will resurrect. He will re-appear for all.. not just for Sai Devotees.. Have faith.. Full Faith.. Unwavering faith.. Unflinching faith... Keep the connection to Swami within high and strong.. . This is the moment... Sanjai Oree (Mauritius)

Sai Ram,
I would like to share my dream to all of you whether you belive or not. When swami physical body was ill, during that time i saw shiva lingam under the ground covered with many iron rods. I saw that all was happening under the ground and was visible , a very big shiva linga,,and everone was chanting one mantra Om Trayambakam yejamahem sugandhim pusti vardanam,,,many times,,as i came oustside from that place i saw too many holes on the ground and i felt very diifuclt to walk in and i thought to come back to the place where shiva linga was kept, when i was outside the door of the temple or whatever it was i saw swami in child form and he was sitting on mini truck facing backwards with 5-6 peoples, their face were black and they were wearing white clothes and i asked swami where are you going?? he said me,i am going for now, but will return back again.I still remember that vision. When i woke up,i started thinking ,oh what a bad dream.During that time i didn;t even knew that swami was sick and was at hospital. After two days my sister rang me and said that baba is in hospital, then that dream stuckked in my mind.I still didn;t belived was swami really ill, then i looked into srisathysai website ,there was written health condition of swami, i was really shocked and however my dream might not be true coz swami has said that he will live till 96 how can this be happened. But all those thing happened( out of exepectations),i still have some hope that swami said in child form ( he was on shirt and pant, like a school going kid said i will come agian),,and i am still waiting for that day.Jay sai ram!!

Sairam! I feel, we need no more proof about Swami's utterances many a time. People will never believe until the historic moment comes. I fear from now on whether there will be opportunity to see Him near as before. I enjoyed Dharsan, sparsan and Sambashan, (seeing, touching, spoken by him three or four times.Once when I touched his feet,he just lifted the front portion of the feet. I could touch the sole of his feet. On another occasion in Chennai, I got a rare opportunity to eat the remnants of his plate when it was sent for cleaning. The servant maid gave us the left over from his silver plate. The value of those things were not clear at that time. Now I feel, it is the merits of many past births that culminated in the proximity to Bagawan at some part of my life. Now Swami belong to the entire world and we can not claim the same proximity now. But His reappearance itself is the herald of Golden Age! Om Sri Sai Ram.
