Our prayers can save this world

There are many prophecies and dreams/visions of devotees from around the world that foretell impending destruction to the earth. Edgar Cayce, a renowned psychic had predicted many such dreadful calamities.
One of Cayce's major prophecies is about the disappearance of Japan. I believe that Swami averted that disaster by taking it upon His body during March/April 2011. Cayce also believed that the future disasters could be averted if humanity changes its behavior. And according to him, this was the main purpose of giving prophecies - to warn people to change so that the prophecies would not come to pass. So in my humble opinion, none of the prophecies are carved in stone and can be changed with Swami’s Grace by the virtue of prayers and the good deeds of man.
Swami indicated such a change when He said:
"Were it not for the mind change of Sai devotees the world would already have fallen into complete chaos. The deterioration of mind and man has been very rapid and abrupt, even precipitous during the last fifteen years. That the world is not in total destruction is due to the change of mind of Sai devotees and to Sai's Grace" - Conversations with Sathya Sai Baba by Dr. J. Hislop, p. 190
I believe that the Sai Avatar has come for this purpose, to avert such crisis that has come upon the humanity and to mark the commencement of a beautiful golden age as mentioned in many of His discourses.
Edgar Cayce also foresaw a new era of enlightenment and peace for humanity in the future: "A new order of conditions is to arise; there must be a purging in high places as well as low; and that there must be the greater consideration of the individual, so that each soul being his brother's keeper. Then certain circumstances will arise in the political, the economic, and whole relationships to which a leveling will occur or a greater comprehension of the need for it. This America of ours, hardly a new Atlantis, will have another thousand years of peace, another Millennium. All this done in the same manner that the prayers of ten just men once saved a city. And then the deeds, the prayers of the faithful will glorify the Father as peace and love will reign for those who love the Lord."
The above prophecy emphasizes the need for prayers to save this world. Like how the prayers of ten noble men once saved a city, let us Sai devotees join together with all our hearts and pray fervently to our beloved Lord to save this world from all impending calamities. Let us pray for the benefit of all the beings in all the worlds. Let us indulge in intense chanting of Gayathri Mantra and “Samastha Lokah Sukhinobhavantu”.

We cannot know what influence our prayers may already have had in averting catastrophe so it is worth repeating now a story related in an earlier comment.
In an interview on Radio Sai, Dr Deepak Anand reported an amazing incident of Swami hearing and responding to the intense prayers of many people.
Some students were called by Swami and they found Him sitting in total silence for a long time. Breaking the silence, Swami then asked the students present about the significance of that day; what happened on that day? They did not know and Baba then revealed it was an anniversary of the day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Swami went on to say that, "at that very moment" in Osaka in Japan, thousands of people had gathered with candles lit, and "they are all praying to Me that such a catastrophe, should never befall any other nation... I listened to their prayers and I came!"

Many devotees believe that Swami's illness in 2011 was connected with the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan. The story told by Dr Anand reveals that, long before the 2011 disaster, Swami had responded to the fervent prayers of people calling out on the anniversary of Hiroshima and, I believe, He made a promise to them, which was fulfilled in 2011.
Imagine what immense power was generated by the sincere prayers of those ordinary people if it could prevent a nuclear 'melt-down'? They were not all devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Baba praying; they were God's devotees praying to their chosen form, or the formless God, but the prayers all reached their destination.
Now it is up to all of us to take Sreejith's advice: ".... let us Sai devotees join together with all our hearts and pray fervently to our beloved Lord to save this world from all impending calamities."
"Remember that there is nothing in this world as powerful as the Lord's name to protect it. It is not arms and bombs that will save the world. Only God's grace should protect the world. It is man's foremost duty to pray for God's grace. Prayer is of supreme importance."

I find that when ever I have prayed sincerely for others..they have been helped by Swami.
A little real event i would like to share of SWAMIS LOVE AND GRACE THROUGH PRAYER.....if I may
....A Spanish woman who worked in my office 2007 could not bear children. She followed Jesus. I introduced SWAMI to her and Said He can give her a child if He wills (careful not to make promises.. no one knows SWAMI's Will..not realising Swami was guiding me.so I asked to her pray to Swami or Jesus....and do likataYoga (writing GODS name in a book as prayer for wishes). She was unable to do this so I did this for 1 whole year on her behalf(a promise I made to Swami)....after a year I gave her the books and told her to take them and a coconut to a river, break the coconut and put them in the river with Prayer to SWAMI. Both Husband and wife did this....a few months later she was pregnant and had healthy child 9 months later....JAI SAI RAM
She also had dream of Swami....and Swami told her He love me (Sai Dev) so much.......JAI SAI RAN BABAJI
SHE THANKED ME AND BABA BEYOND WORDS FOR HER MIRALCE BABY..BUT I told ONLY THANK BABA ...no one else...

There are so many stories, told and untold, of Amazing Grace flowing from sincere and selfless Prayers and yet we continue to doubt that we have enough power to bind the Lord...… even when Swami Himself gives Divine assurances…..
